С 16 по 23 августа в Крушево, Македония, прошёл Предчемпионат Европы по дельтапланерному спорту. Было разыграно четыре упражнения протяжённостями от 73 до 126 км. В соревнованиях приняли участие 52 пилота из 16 стран. Россию представлял всего один (зато какой!) пилот — Александра Себеренникова, которая попала в десятку победителей соревнований, обойдя двух Чемпионок Мира и одного Чемпиона Мира…

Made 123 out of 126 km Task 1 in Macedonia today. Was a loooong final glide in the end of the day without a bubble. After I landed about 5 pilots flew over and made the goal :). Very scenic views with lots of yellow and green, reminds me of central Spain in Piedrahita area.

Today 41 pilot made goal after rather fast 85 km task. Conditions were predicted worse than it turned out to be with 2900-3000m CB and strong thermals. Looks like it is not rare to hit +6 here in Macedonia. After a little zigzag in the beginning we had basically one 40 km headwind leg followed by a long final tailwind glide. After two days Elio Cataldi is in the lead, with Balazs and Suan after him. I was 5th yesterday, (not too fast in goal today though), and 12th overall so far in Pre-Europeans.

Some shots from my final glide today, not too often when the task finishes on the sunset, very mild colors but a lot of thrill as we were flying down against strong cross wind.
Due to rain in the morning we had a late task today with a number of pilots, including me, stuck on the launch, waiting for proper wind. Eventually took off after the gate was already opened, must be that air start I’ve done about 45 mins later than the first gaggle, so my task time will be rather long as we had only one gate. Elapsed time would have worked more fair today. Elio is staying the 1st, Suan and Balasz are the after him; Jochen-good-man won the day! (My position didn’t change, still 12th) :)

Elio, Suan and Balasz are on the podium. I am 9th overall and 1st woman at Pre-Europeans in Macedonia :) That was great learning week for me, thanks to organizers, Fly Moyes for my lovely RX3 and to Avionicus live tracking company.
